Porn is hardly anything new. Even before it was instantly accessible via whatever-you're-into dot com, it was in print, and before that it was probably etched in rock for Stone Age pubescents to get off. For as long as nudity's been around (and it's never been around), porn has had a place. But moving past its existence, what has it actually brought with it? Visual pleasure, sure. Something to beat off to, yeah. But what effects has it had in the long run? What is doing to its male viewers? It may not seem particularly clear on the surface, but if you take a deeper look at the world of pornography, you'll notice some unsavory results. Keep reading to find out how porn is changing the male view of sex.

Taking sides. Everyone has their opinion when it comes to porn. Some may see it as an expression of sexuality, while others may see it as a crude display of the human body. Sex, to its very core, is completely natural, but it's not so much the sex itself that has some people bothered, but what its depiction of sex is doing to some viewers.
Kicking back. It's no mystery that men tend to be more inclined to watching adult entertainment. Guys want to relax after a hard day's work and blow a load to wind down. It's perfectly natural. In their eyes, watching porn just gets them in the mood and helps get the job done faster. But the side effects may vary.

The noticeable effect. It's become clear that adult entertainment is skewing the perception that some men have of sex, and it's not for the better. It's obvious that overexposure of anything will lead to some form of desensitization, and with pornography, it's really no different. Sex is losing its innocence.

The expectations. When you've seen enough of something, you start to envision certain things to follow suit. This idea applies to porn and women. When guys are mostly seeing one specific type of women, to an extent, their subconscious starts to expect that kind of women everywhere. They can't help but not limit it to the video they just jerked off to.
Shaved. If you watch adult entertainment where the woman isn't shaved, it's likely because you're watching a particular kind of porn from a particular kind of category. For the most part, women in porn are shaved. In fact, they're mostly bare down there. When men are seeing this a few times a week (if not daily), then you can imagine what it's telling them about the female population.

Pubic hair. The issue here isn't that men are now disappointed when they're with a girl who isn't shaved down to her skin; it's an issue for the women who feel that that's what they need to do. What's even worse about this situation is that pubic hair isn't just natural, it's healthy. It helps fend off bacteria and keeps genitalia (for both men and women) healthy.

The Big "O." If men want to orgasm, they may as well flick their pants and — BOOM! — orgasm. For women, it's not quite as easy. But with adult entertainment teaching men all of its informational glory, it would have them believe that women orgasm similarly to themselves.
Working for it. Orgasms are (or at least should be) the result of some tender lovemaking. You don't just will it out of somebody's crotch. It takes work, and that's what makes it so satisfying. A lot of men have lost that understanding, and they just assume a woman will finished at around the same time they are.

Speaking of orgasms... With adult entertainment playing such a vital role in a man's life, to them, sex is really mostly about getting off. It's all about achieving the release. In that case, they tend to simply focus more on getting themselves off than making it a mutual experience.

Protection. If you're looking for condoms in adult entertainment, you'll find that they're rarer than a Mewtwo in Pokemon GO. This is disconcerting. The fact is that, although condoms may decrease some of the sensitivity during sex, they're obviously vital. We don't use condoms just to prevent pregnancy, so relying on the morning after pill won't hold up. There are more pressing matters at hand.
STIs. There's more to sex than pleasure and pregnancy. There is also the risk of transmitting diseases and infections. Condoms help decrease this risk substantially. So, even though porn stars may make sex seem like a danger-free zone, keep in mind that there are major precautionary measures taken before a porno is shot.
Whenever, wherever. With adult entertainment being so easy to access, the idea of acquiring sex seems like it should be just as easy for some men. This tends to bring out their more aggressive sides, and it's not doing anyone's favor. It gives them a sense of false entitlement, that they should get what they want when they want it.

The expectations. Adult entertainment is giving men all the wrong ideas about women. It gives them false expectations about what a woman wants and how men ought to treat them. It's essentially created an illusion between pornography and reality, and not all men seem to know the difference.
The distance. Aside from the expectations that men have with women through adult entertainment, there is also an emotional divide. Pleasure has become so easily accessible, that an emotional connection doesn't feel as necessary.
To them, sex has become primarily about the physical, and hardly about the emotional.
